Job summary

Highpoint-At-Cape-Coral is seeking a kitchen/dishwashing attendant to support our senior living community. You will wash and sanitize dishes, maintain storage areas, and assist with buffet setups, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
• Empty garbage and sanitize containers.
• Check-in and store dry goods and supplies.
• Oversee and maintain food storage areas; assist in cleaning of food service areas and heavy equipment as needed.
• Pull frozen meats to be used on following days and return unused items to freezer.
• Keeps temperature checks current in the kitchen.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors; maintain cleanliness of walls in kitchen and serving areas.
• Assist with buffet setup and special functions.

What You Will Do:

• Wash and sanitize all dishes, pots and pans, food carts, and food preparation equipment (including ovens and ranges).
• Empty kitchen garbage/trash and sanitize containers as needed.
• Check-in, unpack, and store dry goods, cleaning supplies, and cold stock.
• Oversee and maintain food storage areas; when necessary, assist in cleaning of food service areas and heavy equipment.
• Pull frozen meats to be used on following days and return unused items to freezer.
• Keeps temperature checks current throughout the kitchen.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors. Maintain cleanliness of all walls in kitchen and serving areas.
• Assist with buffet set up and special functions.
• Demonstrate positive resident relations and facility’s quality care and service standards to residents, families, and guests. Maintain positive, cheerful attitude at all times.
• Follow sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
