Job summary

Bally's Interactive in East St. Louis, IL is seeking a dedicated steward to maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will deep clean equipment, stock workstations, and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings.
• Properly deep cleans and maintains kitchen equipment to ensure longevity and desired results are achieved.
• Sweep, mop, buff scrub kitchen floors as needed.
• Strong organizational skill, works clean, and in a safe and sanitary manner at all times.
• Ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment.
• Must abide by all health department rules/regulations. Understands time and temperature controls and has a working knowledge of food safety.
• Knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
• Sets and keeps workstation and the surrounding areas properly stocked, clean, safe, and organized.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1 year stewarding experience in a fast-paced environment, preferred
• Food Handler Certification, required
• High School Diploma/GED, required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Hep A vaccination on, or before, first day of workMust be able to work Weekends, Nights and Holidays
• Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Illinois Gaming License

Working Environment & Physical Efforts:

• The hospitality industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation.
• This position will primarily be indoor under controlled temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor climates
• Frequent: standing, walking, with repetitive movement of fingers, legs, arms, and hands
• Occasional: sitting, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Speech and Vision abilities are required

Target Salary Rate: $15.50 per hour
