Job summary

The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort in The Bahamas, is seeking a Kitchen Technician to maintain and repair kitchen equipment across the property. You will work under Engineering Management, ensuring safety procedures are followed and equipment uptime is maximized.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting in training staff, while upholding high standards of service and cleanliness in a luxury resort setting.

Qualifications

• Keeps all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day to day maintenance of the hotel under the direction of Engineering Management. Ensures a complete understanding of and adheres to the company’s fire and safety procedures.
• Continually supports and improves engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and associates.
• Trains and instructs other members of the staff by passing along knowledge and skills to assist them in their development and the advancement of your own.
• Strives to become an independent mechanic, analyzes problems and formulates plans to get work done with a high degree of quality. Ensures that Engineering and the work area are kept clean at all times.
• Be familiar of gas systems, and related safety procedures.
• Maintains communications with Supervisors to ensure that all materials, tools, and supplies are available or on order. Follows up on any items that may be back ordered.
• Responsible for the proper and timely completion of preventative maintenance systems.
• Updates Manager regularly on assignments.
• Performs all reasonable duties requested by management.
