Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Kitchen Team Member in Whitestown, Indiana. You will engage customers, assist the deli and cashier teams, and keep the deli area clean and stocked while following safety guidelines.

No experience is required—we will train you. You will prepare deli items like sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit cups, and parfaits, and may cross-train in other store roles in a fast-paced environment suitable for growth.

Qualifications

• Customer service duties including assisting customers with menu offerings and needs.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines while preparing deli items.
• Collaborate with store cashier team to keep the deli area clean and stocked.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including answering questions about menu offerings.
• Accurately prepare deli products per guides (salads, fresh-cut fruit, sandwiches, wraps, parfait cups).
• Maintain proper food safety conditions following company procedures.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Store Cashier or Restaurant Cashier.
• Move, lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
