Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Deli Host to provide top-notch customer service and keep the deli area clean, stocked, and welcoming. No experience is required—we will train you to handle deli prep, customer interactions, and daily duties with a positive attitude.

You will prepare salads and deli items, assist with beverages, follow safety guidelines, and may cross-train in other departments to support the store. We value reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Strong customer service mindset and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service and assist with deli and beverage areas during shifts.
• Accurately prepare deli products such as salads, sandwiches, wraps and fruit.
• Follow company policies and food-safety procedures at all times.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed by the store team.
• Maintain a clean, stocked deli area and assist store cashier team members as required.

As a Deli Host, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.


• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.


• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.


• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.


• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
