Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Deli Host to greet customers, prepare fresh deli items, and keep the area clean and stocked. You will work with the store team to provide friendly service and food that meets safety standards. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

Tasks include helping with deli prep, assisting in cashier duties when needed, and adapting to temperature-controlled environments. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliable, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds; work in varied temperatures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about menu offerings and assist deli and cashier teams in maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Prepare deli products per guides (salads, fruit, sandwiches, parfait cups, etc.).
• Follow company policies to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, and Maintenance.
• Move 25+ pounds and work in various temperatures.

As a Deli Host, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
