Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to deliver friendly customer service, assist with deli operations, and keep a clean, stocked deli area. Training will be provided for those new to the role.

You will prepare fresh deli offerings, follow safety procedures, and may cross-train in other departments as needed, while meeting the physical demands of the job in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced deli environment.
• Prepare deli products per recipe guidelines including sandwiches and salads.
• Follow food safety procedures to maintain clean, safe food handling.
• Cross-train in other store roles as needed.
• Lift up to 25 pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross‑training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
