Job summary

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. is looking for a Kitchen Team Member to handle daily deli duties, interact with customers, and keep the area clean and stocked. You will prepare salads, sandwiches, fruit, and parfaits, while following food safety guidelines and supporting the cashier team as needed.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including answering questions about menu items and assisting store cashier team members with cleaning and stocking the deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Accurately prepare deli products such as salads, fresh-cut fruit, sandwiches, wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Follow company policies to maintain food safety conditions.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds; work in various temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
