Job summary

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. is hiring a Kitchen Team Member in Angleton, TX. You’ll provide friendly customer service, maintain a clean deli, and help guests with menu questions. No experience? We’ll train you and show you the ropes.

You’ll learn food preparation, portion control, and safe handling while rotating through deli, coffee, and fountain areas. The role may involve lifting 25+ pounds and working in varying temperatures; Come grow with Love’s.

• Ability to handle food safely and follow procedures.
• Good communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer menu questions while maintaining clean deli area.
• Prepare deli products per guides (salads, sandwiches, fruit, parfaits).
• Assist with store cashier area and maintain food safety practices.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
