Job summary

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to deliver friendly customer service while keeping the deli area clean, stocked, and appealing. You will learn on the job with no prior experience required, and training is provided.

You will accurately prepare deli items, follow recipes and guidelines, and adhere to safety and sanitation policies. The role may involve cross-training in other store duties as needed and requires the ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
