Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to deliver friendly service, keep the deli area clean, and stock products.

No experience needed; training provided. You’ll prepare deli items, assist with food safety, and may cross-train in other roles as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds.

• General customer service duties including menu questions, assist store cashier team in deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Accurately prepare deli products per guides: salads, fruit, sandwiches, wraps, parfait cups.
• Follow company policies to maintain food safety conditions.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
