Summary: The Kitchen Team Member position involves preparing high-quality products and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Attend work regularly and punctually.
  2. Stay knowledgeable about all menu items, specials, and promotions.
  3. Prepare and serve food according to recipes, portioning, and standards.
  4. Update on recipe changes and measure ingredients accurately.
  5. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation.
  6. Plate food properly and maintain accurate inventory.
  7. Store food at correct temperatures and rotate stock appropriately.
  8. Keep the kitchen clean and sanitized, following health and safety standards.
  9. Label and date products as required.
  10. Cook a variety of foods maintaining flavor and presentation.
  11. Complete daily kitchen logs and adhere to food safety protocols.
  12. Follow all health department and safety regulations.
  13. Operate and clean kitchen equipment properly.
  14. Report damages, maintenance issues, and suspicious activity.
  15. Provide excellent guest service, including greeting and thanking guests.
  16. Handle guest questions and complaints professionally.
  17. Follow dress code and maintain personal hygiene.
  18. Comply with laws regarding breaks and meal periods.
  19. Handle lost and found items per policy.
  20. Complete necessary training and certifications, including food handler’s card and SDS training.
Qualifications

Requires at least one year of cooking experience in a restaurant, ability to follow recipes, and knowledge of food handling procedures. Completion of relevant certifications is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

Good communication, mathematical skills for calculations, problem-solving ability, and teamwork skills are essential. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 lbs is required.
