Job summary

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. is hiring a Deli Host to greet customers, answer questions about menu offerings, and maintain a clean, stocked deli area. No prior experience is required, as training will be provided.

You will assist the store cashier team, prepare deli products such as sandwiches, salads, and parfait cups, and ensure adherence to food safety policies. Opportunities for cross-training and career growth are available across departments.

Qualifications

• General customer service duties including handling menu questions and assisting store cashier team.
• Prepare deli products per guides: salads, fresh-cut fruit, sandwiches, wraps, parfait cups.
• Follow food safety policies and procedures using company guidelines.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, stocked deli area.
• Prepare deli items accurately per guides and maintain quality standards.
• Assist in other duties as needed and support teammates during shifts.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds; work in various temperatures.

As a Deli Host, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
