Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. is hiring a Deli Host to provide friendly customer service, maintain a clean and stocked deli area, and support the store team. Training is provided for all applicants with no prior experience required.

You will interact with customers, prepare deli items, and ensure food safety standards are followed while working in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include tuition assistance, health coverage after 30 days, and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties, including answering menu questions and assisting store cashier staff in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Accurately prepare deli products per preparation guides: salads, fresh-cut fruit, sandwiches, wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Ensure procedures follow company food safety policies and maintain proper conditions.
• May cross-train in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.

As a Deli Host, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
