Job summary

The Crescent Hotels Group is seeking a kitchen leader to join the Tides Coastal Kitchen Culinary team at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront. You will supervise setup, train staff, manage production, and ensure recipe compliance while coordinating with chefs and colleagues.

We value a professional, communicative team player who can operate kitchen equipment, lift up to 100 lbs, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and supervise kitchen areas to maximize productivity and ensure food quality, following recipes and procedures.
• Direct the work and train kitchen associates to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Inspect daily production records with chefs to ensure estimates are accurate.
• Pull daily production from inventory and use leftovers efficiently.
• Communicate clearly to staff and promote effective inter-area collaboration.
• Attend associate meetings and propose solutions to problems while maintaining communication across kitchen areas.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and enforce clean-as-you-go.
• Inspect all workstations and ensure proper setup for meals.
• Prepare daily production charts and adhere to attendance expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
