Job summary

Impact Fire Services is seeking a Kitchen Suppression Technician to inspect, maintain, sell, and service fire suppression equipment, including extinguishers and kitchen hood systems. The role emphasizes timely service and meeting weekly productivity goals within a safety-conscious environment.

Based at our Williston district office, the position offers growth through training and licensing support, with opportunities to work alongside skilled professionals in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Experience selling and servicing fire suppression components (extinguishers, emergency lights, etc.).
• Ability to learn inspection and servicing codes.
• Ability to learn and comprehend general electrical safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Strong work ethic and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage time effectively to complete service calls while maintaining high-quality work.
• Meet assigned weekly productivity goals.
• Comply with safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tag-out policies.
• Maintain the vehicle per company procedures and keep it clean.

This position is eligible to participation in our Commission Plan.

This position is based at our Williston, Vermont district office.

The Kitchen Suppression Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, selling, and servicing fire suppression equipment, including fire extinguishers, kitchen hood suppression systems, emergency lights, and other fire safety products. This role requires professional, timely service and consistent achievement of weekly service and productivity goals. It is well suited for individuals with a technical background who enjoy problem-solving in a dynamic work environment. Whether experienced or newly qualified, the technician will have opportunities to build skills and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage time effectively to complete as many service calls as possible while maintaining high-quality work.
• Meet assigned weekly productivity goals.
• Comply with company safety procedures, including driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.
• Maintain the vehicle according to company procedures and keep it clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Experience selling and servicing a variety of fire suppression components including fire extinguishers, emergency lights and other fire products is a plus.
• The ability to learn applicable inspection and servicing codes
• The ability to learn and comprehend general electrical safety procedures
• A valid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record
• Satisfactory results in a company mandated criminal background check and drug test
• A strong work ethic and professional appearance

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.

Preferred Qualifications

• A mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical background or a basic level of comfort and knowledge of these systems
• Experience in working with basic portable hand tools
• Able to read and interpret various mechanical schematics and diagrams
• Direct Customer Service experience
• Familiarity in filling out detailed reports on electronic devices such as an iPad tablet
