Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a Substitute Kitchen General Worker in Urbandale, IA. The individual will assist in administering effective nutrition services programming for the Urbandale Community School District.

This part-time role offers a salary of $17.36 per hour and requires the candidate to have knowledge of food preparation and service regulations. Immediate start is available and training will be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of USDA Meal Pattern Requirements and Nutrition Standards.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up and serving for both breakfast and/or lunch.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of work area.
• Report to the Production Kitchen Manager and/or Director of Nutrition Services.

Skills

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HAACP) knowledge

Knowledge of quantity food preparation

Knowledge of food service regulation and sanitary codes

Knowledge of work safety

Strong customer service skills

Ability to communicate in English
