Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist the manager with food/meal preparation, maintain cash receipts and meal records, and complete daily reports while upholding high standards of food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety.

The role requires teamwork, accurate menu preparation, proper handling of kitchen equipment, and adherence to uniform and hygiene policies. Physical duties may include lifting and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate may be required by the employer.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of working quickly and accurately under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules, policies and procedures.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages.
• Add garnishments to enhance customer satisfaction and presentation.
• Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling and storage.
• Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare the menu for the day.
• Supervise the food temperature requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area.
• Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables and other equipment.
• Follow procedures for cleanliness to maintain a balanced and safe environment.
• Maintain garbage collection sites and kitchen floor areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen.
• Role may require lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking; PPE may be used.
