Job summary

The role requires supervisory experience, lead cook background, knowledge of safety and sanitation, and proficiency with kitchen equipment.

You will train staff, schedule to match showtimes, and ensure timely, accurate food production.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum supervisory/management experience in a similar-sized operation.
• 2-3 years as a lead cook before management.
• Thorough knowledge of food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of safety and sanitation standards.
• Experience with kitchen equipment: slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors.
• Basic math skills for recipes, measurements, and portions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise daily line operation.
• Prepare all food items for banquet and restaurant use per standard recipes.
• Inspect and sample food for taste, color and presentation.
• Schedule staff for banquets, showtimes, and forecasts.
• Supervise staff including training, counseling and discipline.
• Manage ordering, receiving and storage of food items.
• Perform daily duties and special projects.
• Order food for following days.
• Rotate food to minimize spoilage.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and sanitized.
• Handle special orders/modifications.
• Maintain banquet event orders and delivery requests.
• Attend per policy.
