Embassy Suites Sarasota is seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the culinary department. You will supervise the culinary team, work with the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef, and strive to improve guest and team member satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.

Responsibilities include training staff, ensuring proper food handling, maintaining quality and presentation, managing inventory, and assisting with menu execution and quantity control.

Ensure efficient flow of food dishes with an emphasis on portion control, quality, presentation and temperature control.7. Supervises and coordinates activities of team members engaged in food preparation.8. Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards.9. Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.10. Supports procedures for food & beverage portion and waste controls.11. Follows proper handling right temperature of all food products.12. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.13. Assist with inventory and production charts.14. Participates in training staff on menu items including ingredients, preparation methods and unique tastes.15. Provides services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention.16. Adhere to hotel grooming standards.17. Perform any additional tasks requested by management.## Qualifications**Qualifications:**Education: No formal education required.Experience: at least one (2) years of cooking experience.Skills and abilities: Knowledge of knife skills, sanitation and cooking methods.Knowledge of sanitation codes concerning food storage and cross contamination. Knowledge of proper cooking methodsHours required: Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs.
