Job summary

You will sort, rinse, wash, rewash, and store dishes, set up and break down the dishwashing area, and assist in food prep per standardized recipes at events.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing experience in a restaurant environment preferred.
• Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire.
• Ability to read and understand labels on chemicals.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
• Ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and rinses dirty dishes and sends through the dish machine.
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes and transports to proper storage areas.
• Changes dishwater in the dish machine on a routine basis.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Sets up and breaks down dishwashing area.
• Prepares food according to standardized recipes and assists in private events on and off site.
• Ensures compliance with applicable Health Department codes.
• Keeps supervisor informed of key issues or concerns.
• Carries out duties in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment.
• Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
• Work Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekend and holidays.
