Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a dedicated dishwashing assistant to join our kitchen team in Gainesville, FL. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary dining and kitchen area, wash dishes, stock supplies, and assist with light food prep as directed by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a busy kitchen environment with exposure to heat and chemicals.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Working knowledge operating a commercial dishwasher.
• Familiar with the industry's best practices in food service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
• Wash kitchen utensils, equipment and dishes by hand or in a dishwasher.
• Store clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Stock supplies in serving stations and storage areas.
• Sweep and wash floors.
• Sort and dispose of trash in designated areas.
• Assist with food prep as directed by chefs.
