Mather Place in Wilmette, IL is seeking a Utility Steward to support the Food and Beverage team by maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen equipment and back‑of‑house areas, including dishwashing. This safety‑sensitive role may set up public areas and assist in dining areas as needed, with two scheduled formats: full‑time (Tue–Sat, 7:00 AM–2:30 PM) and part‑time (Tue, Thu, Sat, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM).

The position offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a dishwasher and cleaning equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Weekend availability may be required depending on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, supplies, pots/pans, small wares, china, glass, and silver.
• Operate dishwasher and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Clean kitchen floors following standard procedures.
• Apply knowledge of safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain and record data on required logs per company policies.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning assignments per task lists.
• Regularly empty trash containers and manage waste and compactor.
• Minimize loss and breakage through proper use and storage of equipment.
