Job summary

Margaritas is seeking a diligent and efficient Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen to ensure the culinary team can operate efficiently and deliver high-quality food.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dishwasher is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to follow sanitation policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashers efficiently.
• Wash glassware and other items by hand when necessary.
• Clean all areas of the kitchen including floors, walls, and cooking stations.
• Ensure all areas are free of debris and hazards.
• Follow sanitation policies and ensure dishes, cookware, and utensils are sanitized and available as needed.
• Dispose of waste in the kitchen, including composting and recycling.
• Assist in the organization and storage of kitchen equipment and food supplies.
• Support cooks and other kitchen staff with various tasks, including prep work.
• Regularly check kitchen equipment and appliances and report faults to management.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and ensure the kitchen is up to code.
