Job summary

Presque Isle Downs & Casino in Erie, PA is seeking a kitchen helper to maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, ensuring equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored. You must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must be 18+.

Qualifications

• Math basics: ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Physical stamina to lift, bend, reach, stoop, climb and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to endure heat and moist conditions; stand for long periods.
• Flexible hours including weekends, holidays and special events; day/evening shifts may vary.
• Must be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and store kitchen equipment, glassware and utensils per industry standards within required timeframes.
• Possess working knowledge of cleaning compounds and use cleaning equipment safely.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor or Chef on duty immediately.
• Perform duties in environments such as deep freezers and around steam cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
