Job description

Scope: Responsible for assisting the Chefs with food production and maintaining the dining room service stations, including food items and cleanliness.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a safety culture by following SOPs, JSAs, Policies, and Procedures as set out by Target Hospitality.
  2. Clean and uphold cleanliness of the dining room and service areas.
  3. Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dining room.
  4. Thoroughly clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and equipment.
  5. Assist in restocking coolers and displays in the dining area.
  6. Follow HACCP and FIFO guidelines for food storage, rotation, and discarding expired items.
  7. Serve food in accordance with HACCP and food safety standards.
  8. Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, coffee machines, and dispensers.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to exceed guest expectations.
  10. Attend safety meetings and participate in emergency response procedures.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand and squat for extended periods (up to 12 hours or more) with scheduled breaks.
  • Walk short and long distances as required.
  • Use stairs and step stools.
  • Push/pull carts weighing approximately 50 lbs.
  • Work in a physically demanding, high-stress environment.
  • Operate kitchen machinery.
  • Lift an average of 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs on occasion, with assistance or aids for weights exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Reach below waist, at waist, and above shoulder levels, with frequent twisting of neck, back, and torso.
  • Perform repetitive wrist movements, grasping weights between 10-25 lbs.
  • Occasionally perform manual dexterity tasks such as typing and using a 10-key.

Working Conditions Environment:

  • Hear and understand verbal instructions and alarms/signals.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
  • See clearly for inspection and reading small text like labels.
  • Work in extreme hot and cold environments.
  • Follow a rotational schedule (e.g., 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off) as per management.
  • Navigate safely in small, congested areas.
  • May be exposed to elevated noise levels periodically.
  • Be willing to travel and work long rotations away from home.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of dishwashing or equivalent experience, preferably in remote camps, hotels, or hospitality industries.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Work effectively with or without supervision.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home.
  • Pass background check and urine analysis.
  • Provide own transportation to the facility.
