Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a part-time Kitchen Attendant in the Food and Nutrition department at Advocate Sherman Hospital. You will set up and close down the pot and pan area, clean and sanitize equipment, and maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen environment in line with hospital standards.

The role requires attention to safety and sanitation, ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, and willingness to complete hospital-required trainings.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred; can train those with no experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English clearly in relation to essential job activities.
• Effective communication skills in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and close down pot and pan area per department standards.
• Clean, sanitize, air-dry, and store all pots, pans, and utensils.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area; notify supervisor of hazards.
• Follow department sanitation and safety procedures and use chemicals as directed.
