Job summary

Harmons Grocery in Saint George, UT is seeking a friendly associate to sell our fresh kitchen items with remarkable customer service. You will package products, fill shelves, stock the kitchen department, and help keep the area clean while assisting in other kitchen areas as needed.

You will ensure product quality, correct pricing and signage (especially for sale items), slice meats and cheeses to order, restock, and deliver exceptional service to every customer.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handler’s Permit or equivalent certification.

$15.00 - $18.85 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to sell Harmons’ fresh kitchen items by providing remarkable customer service. This person will package product, fill shelves, stock the kitchen department, ensure cleanliness of the department, assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed, and provide exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
• Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the kitchen provides
• Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the kitchen
• Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items
• Ensures the kitchen is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance
• Serves chef prepared salads and entrees from the chef case
• Slices meats and cheeses to order
• Delivers excellent customer service to all customers
• Packages kitchen products and puts them out on the sales floor
• Re-stocks the kitchen department and helps sort and put away kitchen products when deliveries come in
• Assists as needed throughout the kitchen department
