Job summary

Sifted in Seattle, WA is seeking a Receiving Clerk to join our kitchen operations. This Monday-Friday role handles shipments, inventory, and day-to-day intake, ensuring accurate receipts and a smooth supply chain for our fast-growing cafe-style service.

Ideal candidates have receiving experience, health and safety knowledge, strong math, organization, and communication skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; a high school diploma; English fluency; and a team-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as receiving clerk or similar position.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations for food service.
• Basic math and recording abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Great communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Lead by example in safety and sanitation.
• English written and spoken proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
• Unload packages from incoming trucks and inspect contents.
• Verify items according to order and invoices.
• Coordinate with Executive Chef or MOD on items/delivery issues.
• Return unsatisfactory shipments or arrange replacements.
• Label deliveries and place them in designated storage.
• Ensure invoices are signed and filed properly.
• Maintain inventory records and assist in control.
• Keep storage areas clean and organized.
• Project a positive, motivated attitude among team members.
