Job summary

Union Square Cafe in New York, NY is hiring a Receiver to manage daily receiving operations, quality control, and storage following DOH and HACCP standards. You will maintain logs and coordinate with kitchen and procurement, supporting a high-volume service environment.

Qualified candidates have 1+ year receiving experience, strong computer skills (Office/Excel), NYC Food Handler's Certificate, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds; shifts run 8am–4pm.

Qualifications

• Strong Computer Skills (Office, Excel, and CaterXpert preferred).
• Ability to work morning shift from around 8am-4pm with 7 day availability.
• Language: English (read English required), Spanish preferred.
• Experience: 1+ year in receiving, knowledge of food ingredients.
• Certifications: NYC Food Handler's Certificate.
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the kitchen, including food and beverage areas.
• Requires mobility, prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily receiving operations, quality control, and commissary storage per DOH and HACCP standards.
• Maintains receiving and waste logs and coordinates with kitchen and purchasing teams.
• Ensures accurate documentation and rotation of inventory.
