We are hiring for a full-time position to work from 6am - 2pm Sunday - Thursday or from 12pm - 8pm Sunday - Thursday.

Summary:

Our Kitchen Production Team provides invaluable back-of-house support within a bustling kitchen to include ingredient and recipe preparation and production, familiarity with food & health safety regulations, and demonstrated success as strong collaborators and positive team players in a food retail environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure a high standard of customer service for kitchen personnel according to established customer service vision and expectations.
  2. Monitor and maintain quality control standards.
  3. Work together with employees on shift to create a positive work environment.
  4. Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
  5. Prepare deli case entrees, salads, and other deli items as needed.
  6. Ensure proper product rotation and update recipes as they change.
  7. Create and document new recipes.
  8. Participate in monthly/quarterly inventories for the department.
  9. Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  10. Prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus.
  11. Operate with a sense of teamwork.
  12. Understand and adhere to organizational and department policies and procedures.
  13. Accept direction willingly and follow through with delegated tasks.
  14. Perform tasks consistently at an acceptable rate as outlined by the department manager.
  15. Maintain a safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Minimum one (1) year experience in food service.
  2. Previous experience with ordering and inventory control.
  3. Strong organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment where teamwork and communication are essential.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to use computer keyboard, monitor, mouse, telephone, and various office equipment continuously.
  2. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently.
  3. Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds occasionally.
  4. Ability to stand or walk for the duration of the assigned shift.
  5. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs or ladder.
  6. Ability to reach above shoulder height frequently.
  7. Ability to talk and hear to communicate with customers.
  8. Finger and hand dexterity with the ability to grasp and hold items of different sizes.
  9. Vision ability – close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  10. Ability to read register screen and product and shelf labels.
