Job summary

bci is seeking a Cook Helper to assist cooks with general kitchen tasks, restock stations, prepare, season and cook food, and follow recipes and presentation specifications.

Maintain sanitation, complete daily logs, manage inventory and equipment, and work as a team. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, gain unescorted access to a Military Facility, and work weekends and evenings. A 120‑day probationary period applies and a background check may follow after 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks with general kitchen tasks including restocking of stations.
• Completes daily temperature and production logs
• Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
• Work as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiries
• Take down and set up all necessary equipment (including but not limited to kettles, dicers, VCMs, pumps, can openers (auto and manual), and scales)
• Clean/sanitize equipment during and after production usage
