Job summary

ELEVEN ENTERPRISE LLC seeks a capable kitchen prep candidate in Fort Lauderdale to wash, chop, and portion ingredients and set up stations for meal preparation. You will follow recipes and assist chefs with sauces and sides in a fast-paced dining environment.

Must read recipes and perform basic math for portioning. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required. You will maintain cleanliness, help with inventory, and ensure food safety throughout prep areas and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read recipes and measure ingredients accurately.
• Prior restaurant experience preferred.
• Able to work in fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare fruits, vegetables, and ingredients as directed.
• Assist chefs and cooks in preparing menu items, sauces, and sides.
• Prepare ingredients and set up workstations for recipes.
• Monitor cleanliness and sanitation of prep areas and equipment.
• Receive and store deliveries; monitor inventory levels.
• Follow food safety procedures to prevent contamination.
• Maintain accuracy of ingredient portions.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by chef.
• Reduce sauces and parboil food as part of basic cooking duties.
