Job summary

Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate required or as needed.
• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of working quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu.
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions.
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal and ensure proper storage of food.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and department policies; maintain sanitation and safety in the kitchen.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives; assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers and other equipment.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage.
