Job description

Kitchen Porter, Carriage House

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

If you enjoy a customer service role with the added challenge of kitchen duties, then this position at the prestigious Carriage House in Kohler, WI, is the right opportunity for you.

Specific job responsibilities:

1. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and other utensils; place them in racks for the dish machine.
2. Sort and stack clean dishes; carry them to the cook’s line and storage areas; rewash soiled dishes before delivery.
3. Change dishwater in the dish machine hourly.
4. Remove trash.
5. Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
6. Sweep and mop floors.
7. Clean up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and the garbage dumpster.
8. Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
9. Notify the manager if the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
10. Prepare salad bar items; ensure freshness and maintain small condiments with fresh contents.
11. Ensure refrigeration of appropriate items immediately.

Part-time positions are available with shifts between 3 pm and 8 pm, on weekdays and weekends.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of food preparation methods, kitchen equipment, and materials used in food prep.
