Job summary

Panda Restaurant Group is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager in California to support the Kitchen Manager in daily operations and crew coaching. You will assist with food preparation, cooking of menu items, and maintaining a positive work environment for the team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of kitchen experience, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays within a 50-mile radius. ADA accommodations are available upon request.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one to two years of restaurant/kitchen experience required.
• Must be flexible to move to a store within a radius of 50 miles from home and to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists in all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, storage, and equipment maintenance.
• Prepares and cooks all menu dishes as needed.
• Assists Kitchen Manager in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting hourly staff for kitchen openings.
• Prepares kitchen employees’ weekly schedule and reviews bi-weekly time cards.
• Ensures that Company standards on food are maintained and safety standards and procedures are enforced in the kitchen facilities.
