Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Weekdays & Weekends – Open 7 Days a Week

The Sub Shack at The Marketplace is your go-to spot for crave-worthy subs, hot off the griddle and packed with flavor. We're a key part of the vibrant, fast-paced Boardwalk Village – a fun destination for food, drinks, and community vibes. We’re looking for a motivated Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team and keep operations running smooth and delicious.

Position Overview:
As Kitchen Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of the kitchen—overseeing food prep, managing staff, maintaining quality and safety standards, and working hands-on in a high-energy environment. This is a leadership role for someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and set the tone for excellence every shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food prep, line execution, and closing procedures
  • Manage, train, and schedule kitchen staff
  • Ensure all food meets our quality, portion, and presentation standards
  • Work the griddle, fryers, and sub line as needed to support the team
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in line with health codes
  • Monitor inventory, place orders, and reduce waste
  • Set a positive, energetic tone that keeps the crew motivated and efficient

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a kitchen manager or lead line cook
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Hands-on kitchen skills—griddle, fryer, and sandwich line knowledge is a must
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Reliable, organized, and committed to quality and safety
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays
