Job summary

Ascension Coffee is opening a new Café in Fall 2026. The Café Kitchen Manager will support the Café General Manager in all aspects of operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, and ensuring food safety and quality across the kitchen.

You will lead BOH teams, manage costs, and uphold brand standards for exceptional guest experiences. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and a dedication to excellence.

Qualifications

• Restaurant kitchen operations experience required.
• Food and Beverage Manager certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation and travel to all locations.
• Able to work nights and weekends.
• Strong teambuilding and clear communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• High initiative and self-management; able to take direction.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (~8 hours).

Responsibilities

• Track kitchen-related financials such as food cost, labor cost and inventory.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Oversees BOH operations and is responsible for training and managing BOH team members.
• Drive financial success through strong leadership and active coaching.
• Meet deadlines regarding ordering, inventory, invoice and schedule submission.
• Uphold high standards for all food received, prepped, held and presented.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure equipment is functioning.
• Support GM with adherence to RM budget.
• Assist with special events including off-site catering and functions.

About the role

OurCaféKitchenManageris responsible forsupporting the Café General Manager inall aspects of operations within their café including,but not limited to hiring, training, scheduling, team leadership, inventory management, profit and loss, hospitality, and food safety.Thisindividual mustmaintainthe highest commitment to quality with a demonstrated collaborative approach.The CaféKitchenManageris responsible fordrivingexceptional standards in food preparation and presentationasestablishedby the Director of Culinary.This role requiresat least45 hoursper work weekincafé. Salary commensurate with experience.
