About The Position

The Nutrition Group is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager for School Food Service to oversee food production and staff training at a large K-12 School Cafeteria Operation. This role is crucial in ensuring that the cafeteria meets the nutritional needs of students while adhering to the guidelines set forth by the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee food production and staff training at a large K-12 School Cafeteria Operation.
  • Understand and implement the National School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program.
  • Prepare food on a large production scale.
  • Utilize kitchen equipment effectively.
  • Meet the company's expectations for food service.
  • Maintain daily production records and paperwork.
  • Facilitate the execution of catered events as needed.
  • Work with regional chefs to develop and implement recipes.
  • Train school cafeteria workers on food production and recipe utilization.
  • Educate staff on the functions of kitchen equipment.
Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years of staff management experience.
  • Food service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading recipes and basic math conversions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks.
