Avmax Group is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee all kitchen operations at Quail Mountain Market in California. The role involves leading kitchen staff, maintaining high food quality, managing inventory and costs, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

You will schedule staff, develop recipes, and work with the General Manager to drive profitability and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, experience with food cost controls, and familiarity with ServSafe

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; culinary training preferred.
  • Experience managing kitchen operations, inventory, and costs.
  • Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health regulations and ServSafe standards.
  • Ability to use POS and standard office software for reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure quality and presentation.
  • Lead, train, and schedule kitchen staff; monitor attendance and performance.
  • Manage inventory, food costs, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure health codes, food safety, labeling, and temperature controls.
  • Develop budgets and monitor labor costs; drive profitability.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve concerns promptly.
