Roman Bistro is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our scratch kitchen, coaching staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, seasonal dishes with careful wine pairings where relevant.

You will oversee inventory, production lists, ordering, and staff training while maintaining strict sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced environment. The role involves standing up to 10 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and collaborating closely with the Restaurant Owner.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience in high-volume restaurants.
• Experience in a scratch kitchen is a plus.
• Loves to cook and uphold top-quality standards.
• Interest in learning about wine and food pairings.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate kitchen team to follow policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to recipe standards and food quality.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and schedule kitchen staff.
• Manage daily production, inventory, and supplier orders.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Coordinate with Event Coordinator for planned events.
• Communicate effectively with team and leadership.
