Kitchen Managers: They are teachers, leaders, coaches, dishwashers, and masters of quality, cost control, and efficiency. They ensure consistent, quality products prepared to BarFly standards, with attention to health and sanitation. Their primary goal is to motivate, lead, and hold the team accountable.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years (current) salaried culinary management experience at a high-volume restaurant or an associate degree in culinary arts.

DUTIES:

  • Uphold all guidelines in the employee handbook through disciplinary conversations, documentation, and coaching.
  • Follow health and sanitation standards.
  • Operate machinery safely and per recommendations.
  • Interact professionally with staff, guests, and co-workers.
  • Maintain product quality through line checks, preparation, timing, ordering, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Monitor and control labor through planning and scheduling.
  • Lead by example during service and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Support all HOH positions as needed and ensure compliance with SOPs and standards.
  • Maintain building safety, sanitation, and upkeep.
  • Resolve guest and service issues to ensure satisfaction.

SKILLS:

  • Execute shifts with a “Service State of Mind”.
  • Communicate effectively in person, via email, and over the phone.
  • Prioritize tasks and operate with urgency.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail.
  • Follow written recipes and interpret measurements.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues proactively.
  • Address negative behaviors constructively.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills: email and Microsoft Office.

Additional food handler’s certification as required by locality.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
