Job Description
The Kitchen Manager oversees daily kitchen operations, including food purchasing, preparation, and maintaining product consistency. Ensures all BOH functions meet quality, cleanliness, and safety standards. Manages BOH staff in cooking methods, presentation, portioning, cost control, food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and evaluations.
- Oversee food purchasing, inventory, and cost management to stay within budget.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Implement and uphold standard recipes and presentation guidelines for consistency.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Coordinate with front-of-house team for smooth operations.
- Continuously improve kitchen processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume restaurant.
- Knowledge of food prep, kitchen management, and BOH operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
- ServSafe Manager certification and familiarity with health regulations.
