Here’s what we need:

As a Torchy’s Kitchen Manager, you will oversee all Back of the House (BOH) operations, ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment, and fostering a culture of excellence: "If it’s not great, we don’t serve it!" We seek someone passionate about scratch-made food who is results-oriented, self-motivated, and dedicated to developing others.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Managing food costs, placing orders, updating pricing, and conducting inventories.
  2. Hiring, interviewing, and selecting BOH Team Members to ensure proper staffing.
  3. Creating schedules that meet labor targets aligned with sales projections.
  4. Ensuring recipes are followed, ingredients are weighed correctly, production is recorded, and servings are properly portioned.
  5. Using Mystery Shop and assessment results to develop improvement plans for operations and food quality.
  6. Communicating the "why" and "how" to Team Members when giving directions.
  7. Motivating and leading Team Members in line with Torchy’s Values.
  8. Managing daily shifts and supporting store operations.
  9. Partnering with Learning & Development to ensure proper training and certification of BOH Team Members.

QUE-SO…here’s what you’ll need:

  • At least 3 years of kitchen management experience.
  • State alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe Certifications.
  • Strong understanding of training and development concepts.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and reach for objects at various heights.
