Kitchen Manager Job Summary
Catamount Mountain Resort is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to enhance our
culinary program across all venues. Ideal candidates will possess multi-unit leadership
experience and demonstrate a commitment to training and mentoring staff. Key
responsibilities include organization, sanitation, inventory ordering, and training. The
Kitchen Manager will work closely with a talented team across mountain operations,
guest services, and back-office operations. Experience in quick service, full-service, and
catering operations is preferred. If you thrive in a high-energy environment focused on

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Promote positive interactions with Food and Beverage staff.
● Ensure all food items are stored, prepared, and served according to
standardized recipes, portion control, and preparation techniques.
● Supervise kitchen food preparation, ensuring quality, temperature, and
appearance are maintained.
● Manage inventory levels, conduct scheduled inventories, and maintain order
lists to ensure availability of supplies.
● Implement and enforce proper food handling and sanitation techniques.
● Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils,
reporting any needed repairs.
● Plan food production schedules to align with peak meal service hours.
● Maintain a neat and clean kitchen, food storage, and cooler areas at all times.
● Train kitchen employees on the safe operation of equipment and adherence to
health standards.
● Conduct regular food temperature checks before service and throughout shifts.
● Comply with sanitation and personal hygiene standards.
● Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
● Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
● Strong prioritization and time management skills.
● Prior experience in the food service industry is preferred.
● Proficient in the use of kitchen equipment including deep fryers, grills, meat
slicers, smokers, stoves, and ovens.
● ServSafe and Food Allergens certifications are required.
● High energy and stamina are essential.
● Ability to identify and assist with tasks during slower periods.

Physical Demands
● This is a physically demanding position that may involve working outdoors at

repetitively.
● Tolerance for strong cleaning product odors and temperature fluctuations in the
kitchen environment is required.
Requirements
● Shift Requirements: Hours may include late afternoons, evenings, weekends,
and holidays.
● Age Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation
● Salary range is $55,000-$60,000 annually, based on experience.
