About the Role

As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen including food preparation, staff management, and ensuring exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with proper food handling in accordance with company policy, FDA and local Food Safety standards codes as well OSHA standards for workplace safety.
  • Lead and direct the culinary team in consistently delivering high-quality, and visually appealing dishes that align with the company brand and culinary concepts.
  • Maintain strict quality standards for food preparation, presentation, and taste, ensuring that all dishes meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Monitor plate presentation, portion sizes, and food temperature to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Ensures product Quality and Consistency that is delivered with a Sense of Urgency.
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food ordering, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Acts as Mentor, Coach, Team Member Advocate, Company Advocate, and Hospitality Champion in alignment with department philosophy.
  • Recommends the hire as well as trains, and develops kitchen staff, fostering a teamwork environment.
  • Set performance standards, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Manage food costs, portion control, and waste reduction strategies to optimize profitability without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate and execute culinary offerings for special events, promotions, and private parties hosted by the restaurant.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen, service staff, and event organizers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new cooking techniques, and ingredient advancements to continually enhance the restaurant's culinary offerings.
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction in assigning and instruction team members in the details of their work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Culinary degree or equivalent culinary certification; additional certifications in kitchen management or food safety are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar position, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to oversee kitchen operations efficiently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operational schedule.
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, may be exposed to secondhand smoke except and varied light levels, including flashing lights.
