As kitchen manager, your job is to lead employees to succeed and exceed our expectations. The role requires knowledge, organization, and leadership of approximately 25 staff members. You set the tone—balancing hard work and fun—and identify talent for promotion. Regular communication with the General Manager is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Kitchen Procurement: Ensure quality food, beverage, and produce procurement; monitor costs; verify vendor prices; organize paperwork; conduct weekly inventory spot checks.
  2. Food Production: Supervise kitchen operations, ensure proper ordering, portion control, recipe adherence, inventory rotation, and prep standards.
  3. Communication: Coordinate timely food production, manage ticket flow, and ensure quality and accuracy, especially during busy times.
  4. Training: Personally train new hires, develop training programs, and evaluate staff performance regularly.
  5. Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain health standards, ensure cleanliness, and prepare for inspections.
  6. Dish Pit: Keep equipment maintained, chemicals stocked, and work areas sanitized.
  7. Kitchen Culture: Promote a positive, energetic environment, emphasizing customer entertainment and team appearance.
