Job summary

Hamburg Area School District in Hamburg is seeking a dependable Kitchen Manager to lead food service operations at the high school. You will oversee a busy cafeteria, guide a team, and ensure meals are nutritious and appealing for students.

Responsibilities include supervising daily kitchen operations, scheduling staff, managing inventory and food costs, and ensuring USDA/state nutrition guidelines and health codes are met. Eligible for medical and dental benefits or an opt-out incentive.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, kitchen management, or a related role; school cafeteria experience is a plus.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal prep, service, and cleanup

• Maintain accurate records for meal counts and reimbursable meal programs

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience in food service, kitchen management, or a related role (school cafeteria experience a plus)
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain one
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

What We Offer:

• Hourly rate: $16.34
• School-year schedule with summers off (8 hours per day)
