Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is hiring a Kitchen Leader to learn and supervise food preparation, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables. You’ll order food and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders, while promoting teamwork and delivering a great customer experience.

You will ensure food quality, proper sanitation, and safe operation of equipment, working to maintain a clean, organized kitchen and supporting both back-of-house and front-of-house teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to follow Chipotle policies and kitchen procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food to order following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory; resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house crews.
• Develop crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with crew and customers to ensure great service.
• Keep kitchen clean, sanitized, and well stocked; maintain equipment.
• Ensure safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents; complete MSDS and FIFO tasks.
