Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Kitchen Leader in Vienna, VA to learn and oversee food preparation, ensure quality and safety, and train Crew to become future Kitchen Leaders. The role emphasizes teamwork, running a clean, well-stocked kitchen, and maintaining equipment while delivering a great guest experience.

As a Kitchen Leader you will cook to order, manage inventory, mentor Crew, and uphold Chipotle’s standards, while promoting a positive work environment and efficient throughput.

Qualifications

• Understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• Restaurant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and follow kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house crews.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and repair issues promptly.
• Ensure safety guidelines for all Crew and kitchen operations.
• Fill out MSDS and Inventory Rotation (FIFO).
